CHARCOAL FILTERS

The CHARCOAL FILTER consists of carbon bonded to perforated metal sheets and enclosed in a metal frame. The filter is extremely effective in odor removal in electronic air cleaners, furnaces and in other areas where a minimum pressure drop is required.

We also offer a Charcoal Filter consisting of a 1/4″ thick charcoal pad sandwiched between two layers of light duty expanded aluminum, encased by a light duty aluminum frame. 3/8″, 7/16″ and 1/2″ thicknesses are available. Click here to puchase on-line.

CHARCOAL IMPREGNATED PADS

The CHARCOAL IMPREGNATED PADS are made of non woven polyester impregnated with finely ground activated carbon designed to take out unwanted odors. This filter is perfect for use in non-vented applications such as range hoods, air cleaners, room air conditioners, bath fans etc. This 1/4" filter pad provides several times the mass transition zone of bulk carbon.

PLEATED CHARCOAL FILTERS

PLEATED CHARCOAL FILTERS are made with a carbon (coconut shell based ) impregnated synthetic media, containing 10.44 grams of carbon per sq. foot of media area. The frame is a rigid water resistant beverage board used also in the standard pleated filters. These filters are more than an odor remover, they also are an effective filtering element. Filters tested by ASHRAE Standard 52-76.

A few applications for the Pleated Charcoal Filter are Air Conditioners, Air Intake Systems, Paint Booths, Furnaces, Air Purification Devices, Ozone removal and Radon absorption.
