Foam, Perm-A-Foam and Hog Hair

FOAM ( Polyurethane )

FOAM is non allergenic, non toxic and resistant to most solvents. It is safe to handle and there are no metal or glass particles to harm hands or foul the intricate parts of the air moving equipment. FOAM has a temperature rating from -40 to +250 degrees F. It is not adversely affected by water, soap or detergents so it withstands many cleanings. This media has an extremely low resistance to air flow yet still has high particle collecting capacity. It can hold approximately twice its weight in contaminates. Available in pads and rolls. PERM-A-FOAM MEDIA

PERM-A-FOAM is made from 1/8" Scottfoam, corrugated between two layers of heavy aluminum to form an excellent patented air filter media. This media gives 40% more filtering area than flat media. It is easily cleaned with a sprayer and brush. Filter pads are self supporting in most applications.

The PERM-A-FOAM material has an efficiency of approximately 35% at 10 microns. The temperature range of the Smith PERM-A-FOAM MEDIA is 250 degrees F.
PERM-A-FOAM filters made of the same material are also available.

HOG HAIR (Paratex)

This washable filter media is manufactured from a select blend of many fine interconnected natural fibers that are spun into a high loft, depth loading, fiber maze. The fibers are fully bonded together and firmly locked upon a rigid scrim net backing using a special exceptionally tough binder. By both design and manufacturing, the media is rigid and highly resilient. HOG HAIR is self supporting in most applications, due to the rigid media. When dirty, the Smith HOG HAIR can be easily cleaned with running water or vacuumed.
Available in 1/2", 1" and 2" depths.
